VivaLeX - Listen to Science
The first AI-powered reader designed for the complexity of STEM.
We help you transform dense PDFs, complex formulas, and dual-column papers into natural, listenable audio.

Why VivaLeX?
Built for researchers, not robots.
Standard text-to-speech fails at technical notation. VivaLeX is engineered to handle the nuances of your degree.
Semantic Math (Beta)
Our vision models are trained to interpret integrals, sigmas, and complex notation, translating them into natural language that actually makes sense.
Smart Layout Detection
Optimized for dual-column PDFs and academic papers. VivaLeX identifies reading flow and ignores headers, footers, and citations automatically.
Code Aware (Experimental)
VivaLeX recognizes code blocks from Python to C++, adjusting prosody to help you hear the logic behind the syntax.
Neural Voices
Leveraging state-of-the-art synthesis, our voices sound like a professor explaining a concept—fluid, clear, and easy to follow.

FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about VivaLeX.
Is the math interpretation 100% accurate?
VivaLeX uses advanced vision AI to 'see' formulas and read them like a human. While it is significantly more accurate than standard screen readers, STEM notation is highly complex. We recommend following along with the original text for critical calculations.
How does it handle complex 2-column papers?
Our layout engine is specifically tuned for academic journals. It detects column boundaries and ensures the audio flows logically from the bottom of one column to the top of the next.
Is it free to use?
You can start with a free trial to experience how VivaLeX handles your specific research papers before choosing a plan.
Who is behind VivaLeX?
VivaLeX is a Danish project developed by Kevin Mark Lock, based outside of Copenhagen. It is currently operated as a Hobby Business with a focus on improving academic accessibility for students worldwide.
